Building on its 25-year legacy of time-saving convenience, Sentient Jet now enables clients to pay for flights using select cryptocurrencies via BitPay, reflecting the evolving preferences of ultra high net worth travelers

BOSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Sentient Jet, the pioneer of the jet-card category and private aviation leader, today announced it is now providing the ability to leverage cryptocurrency payments through BitPay, the world’s largest blockchain payment processor. Card Owners and new members will now have an additional option to complete payments using select cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC) Ethereum (ETH) and leading U.S. dollar-backed stablecoins from Circle (USDC) and PayPal (PYUSD), providing an alternative to traditional payment methods. All cryptocurrency payments will be processed through BitPay and settled in U.S. dollars, allowing Sentient Jet to offer this payment method to members without holding digital assets directly.

The partnership marks the latest step in Sentient Jet’s commitment to making air travel more seamless – building on the company’s legacy as the inventor of the Jet Card, the first to introduce automated text-to-book technology, and a leader in sustainability across private aviation. By integrating BitPay’s cryptocurrency infrastructure, Sentient Jet continues to innovate in meeting the needs of our clients while maintaining the trusted experience the brand is known for.

“Sentient Jet has built its reputation by innovating how people travel privately whether it’s through inventing the Jet Card model, introducing the simplicity of booking via text or advancing sustainability initiatives,” said Alan Walsh, President of Sentient Jet. “Across private travel, we’re seeing experiences evolve to reflect how people make the most of their time, and move through the world on their own terms. We continually partner with our clients to achieve this by providing thoughtful choice in communication options.”

With more than a decade of experience and billions of dollars in transactions processed annually, BitPay is trusted by leading global enterprises across fashion, technology and luxury retail for secure, compliant blockchain payments. Sentient Jet joins these other global luxury brands offering a seamless, secure and compliant way for discerning customers to pay with digital assets.

“We’re proud to partner with Sentient Jet, a brand recognized for shaping the future of private aviation,” said Bill Zielke, BitPay CMO. “As digital currencies become a preferred form of payment among luxury consumers, organizations offering cryptocurrency as a payment option often see increased transaction sizes as customers enjoy the flexibility and security of digital payments. Sentient Jet’s adoption of cryptocurrency is a large step for the private aviation industry.”

This integration represents another step in Sentient Jet’s mission to simplify and elevate every aspect of private travel. Building on more than 25 years of category-defining leadership, Sentient Jet continues to evolve how its Card Owners fly.

Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC

The post Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson has weighed in on whether the Federal Reserve should make a 25 basis points (bps) Fed rate cut or 50 bps cut. This comes ahead of the Fed decision today at today’s FOMC meeting, with the market pricing in a 25 bps cut. Bitcoin and the broader crypto market are currently trading flat ahead of the rate cut decision. Franklin Templeton CEO Weighs In On Potential FOMC Decision In a CNBC interview, Jenny Johnson said that she expects the Fed to make a 25 bps cut today instead of a 50 bps cut. She acknowledged the jobs data, which suggested that the labor market is weakening. However, she noted that this data is backward-looking, indicating that it doesn’t show the current state of the economy. She added that retail sales are up and that consumers are still spending, despite inflation being sticky at 3%, which makes a case for why the FOMC should opt against a 50-basis-point Fed rate cut. In line with this, the Franklin Templeton CEO said that she would go with a 25 bps rate cut if she were Jerome Powell. She remarked that the Fed still has the October and December FOMC meetings to make further cuts if the incoming data warrants it. Johnson also asserted that the data show a robust economy. However, she noted that there can’t be an argument for no Fed rate cut since Powell already signaled at Jackson Hole that they were likely to lower interest rates at this meeting due to concerns over a weakening labor market. Notably, her comment comes as experts argue for both sides on why the Fed should make a 25 bps cut or…
