Top Cryptos to Invest by 2026: Is Now the Best Time to Buy Cardano (ADA) and Mutuum Finance (MUTM)?

ADA is a large-cap Layer-1 with deep liquidity and brand recognition. Mutuum Finance (MUTM) on the other hand, is priced at $0.035, and designed so protocol usage can translate into token demand. For readers asking what is the best cryptocurrency to invest in by 2026, the comparison comes down to upside headroom versus size and resistance.

Cardano (ADA)

ADA’s spot price hovers around $0.65 with a market cap near $23.25B—solidly a large-cap asset. That scale gives ADA staying power, but it also raises the bar for outsized gains. Near term, ADA’s structure remains capped by successive resistance shelves; recent technical reads cluster levels around the $0.66–$0.71 band, with the next round-number check near $0.80. Until buyers clear those zones convincingly, ADA trades under meaningful ceilings.

Read another way: ADA has to prove momentum with closes above those levels, then defend them. That’s doable—especially in a risk-on market—but the path requires sustained participation against well-observed resistance. In the meantime, ADA looks steady, not explosive.

Mutuum Finance (MUTM)

Mutuum Finance (MUTM) is an Ethereum-based lending and borrowing protocol with two complementary markets. Peer-to-Contract pooled markets target deep liquidity for core assets; a Peer-to-Peer marketplace supports isolated, custom deals where tailored terms make sense.

Depositors receive mtTokens that accrue yield as borrowers pay interest. Rates are utilization-based: when liquidity is abundant, borrowing costs stay comparatively lower to stimulate demand; when liquidity tightens, rates rise to attract deposits and nudge repayments.

Select assets may support stable-rate borrowing with a clear rebalancing rule if market rates run far above the locked level (for example, when the current supply rate falls to 90% or less of the “all-variable” case).

Risk management is explicit: overcollateralization, a live liquidation process with incentives, deposit and borrow caps, and Enhanced Collateral Efficiency for closely correlated assets.

As guidance, lower-volatility assets can support LTVs up to 75% with an 80% liquidation threshold; more volatile tokens sit around 35–40% LTV with a 65% threshold. Pricing is planned through Chainlink-grade oracles with fallback/aggregated feeds and DEX TWAPs to keep liquidations fair and timely.

The current MUTM price is $0.035 in Phase 6, which is already over 71% allocated. Live pacing is strong: $17,700,000 raised and 17,350 holders. Because the sale uses a fixed-price, fixed-allocation structure, once Phase 6 sells out the price steps up to $0.04, with listing price set at $0.06.

Why MUTM edges ADA on appreciation potential

ADA’s upside case is tied to clearing layered resistance and attracting sustained flows into an already-large market cap. That can deliver gains, but it naturally tempers percentage moves. Technical coverage still flags nearby ceilings that ADA must resolve before higher targets become realistic.

Mutuum Finance, by contrast, links protocol activity directly to token demand. A portion of protocol fees and platform revenue is used to buy MUTM on the open market, and MUTM purchased on the open market is redistributed to users who stake mtTokens in the safety module. That’s a visible, traceable demand loop investors can evaluate as on-chain usage grows.

Add staged pricing and an early adoption window, and the math for multiple expansion is straightforward. Several analysts who model DeFi listings mark $0.20 as a reasonable medium-term checkpoint once product usage and exchange reach scale, about 470% from $0.035.

Roadmap and trust signals

Mutuum Finance’s official update sets V1 on Sepolia testnet in Q4 2025, with a Liquidity Pool, mtToken, Debt Token, Liquidator Bot, and initial ETH/USDT markets. Beyond mainnet, the roadmap includes Layer-2 expansion to cut costs and raise throughput, and an over-collateralized stablecoin to anchor predictable borrowing.

On reliability, Mutuum Finance completed a CertiK review with a 90/100 Token Scan score and operates a $50,000 bug bounty to reward responsible disclosure. The combination—public testing, third-party review, open incentives—adds practical guardrails for a defi crypto targeting everyday lending.

Both assets belong on 2026 watchlists. ADA is an established ecosystem, but it’s boxed by near-term resistance and large-cap gravity until buyers prove otherwise.

Mutuum Finance (MUTM) offers earlier-stage upside mechanics: $0.035 pricing, staged steps toward $0.06 and a demand loop investors can follow on-chain. If your goal is percentage appreciation rather than sheer size, MUTM is positioned to outperform ADA.

Google's AP2 protocol has been released. Does encrypted AI still have a chance?

Google's AP2 protocol has been released. Does encrypted AI still have a chance?

Following the MCP and A2A protocols, the AI Agent market has seen another blockbuster arrival: the Agent Payments Protocol (AP2), developed by Google. This will clearly further enhance AI Agents' autonomous multi-tasking capabilities, but the unfortunate reality is that it has little to do with web3AI. Let's take a closer look: What problem does AP2 solve? Simply put, the MCP protocol is like a universal hook, enabling AI agents to connect to various external tools and data sources; A2A is a team collaboration communication protocol that allows multiple AI agents to cooperate with each other to complete complex tasks; AP2 completes the last piece of the puzzle - payment capability. In other words, MCP opens up connectivity, A2A promotes collaboration efficiency, and AP2 achieves value exchange. The arrival of AP2 truly injects "soul" into the autonomous collaboration and task execution of Multi-Agents. Imagine AI Agents connecting Qunar, Meituan, and Didi to complete the booking of flights, hotels, and car rentals, but then getting stuck at the point of "self-payment." What's the point of all that multitasking? So, remember this: AP2 is an extension of MCP+A2A, solving the last mile problem of AI Agent automated execution. What are the technical highlights of AP2? The core innovation of AP2 is the Mandates mechanism, which is divided into real-time authorization mode and delegated authorization mode. Real-time authorization is easy to understand. The AI Agent finds the product and shows it to you. The operation can only be performed after the user signs. Delegated authorization requires the user to set rules in advance, such as only buying the iPhone 17 when the price drops to 5,000. The AI Agent monitors the trigger conditions and executes automatically. The implementation logic is cryptographically signed using Verifiable Credentials (VCs). Users can set complex commission conditions, including price ranges, time limits, and payment method priorities, forming a tamper-proof digital contract. Once signed, the AI Agent executes according to the conditions, with VCs ensuring auditability and security at every step. Of particular note is the "A2A x402" extension, a technical component developed by Google specifically for crypto payments, developed in collaboration with Coinbase and the Ethereum Foundation. This extension enables AI Agents to seamlessly process stablecoins, ETH, and other blockchain assets, supporting native payment scenarios within the Web3 ecosystem. What kind of imagination space can AP2 bring? After analyzing the technical principles, do you think that's it? Yes, in fact, the AP2 is boring when it is disassembled alone. Its real charm lies in connecting and opening up the "MCP+A2A+AP2" technology stack, completely opening up the complete link of AI Agent's autonomous analysis+execution+payment. From now on, AI Agents can open up many application scenarios. For example, AI Agents for stock investment and financial management can help us monitor the market 24/7 and conduct independent transactions. Enterprise procurement AI Agents can automatically replenish and renew without human intervention. AP2's complementary payment capabilities will further expand the penetration of the Agent-to-Agent economy into more scenarios. Google obviously understands that after the technical framework is established, the ecological implementation must be relied upon, so it has brought in more than 60 partners to develop it, almost covering the entire payment and business ecosystem. Interestingly, it also involves major Crypto players such as Ethereum, Coinbase, MetaMask, and Sui. Combined with the current trend of currency and stock integration, the imagination space has been doubled. Is web3 AI really dead? Not entirely. Google's AP2 looks complete, but it only achieves technical compatibility with Crypto payments. It can only be regarded as an extension of the traditional authorization framework and belongs to the category of automated execution. There is a "paradigm" difference between it and the autonomous asset management pursued by pure Crypto native solutions. The Crypto-native solutions under exploration are taking the "decentralized custody + on-chain verification" route, including AI Agent autonomous asset management, AI Agent autonomous transactions (DeFAI), AI Agent digital identity and on-chain reputation system (ERC-8004...), AI Agent on-chain governance DAO framework, AI Agent NPC and digital avatars, and many other interesting and fun directions. Ultimately, once users get used to AI Agent payments in traditional fields, their acceptance of AI Agents autonomously owning digital assets will also increase. And for those scenarios that AP2 cannot reach, such as anonymous transactions, censorship-resistant payments, and decentralized asset management, there will always be a time for crypto-native solutions to show their strength? The two are more likely to be complementary rather than competitive, but to be honest, the key technological advancements behind AI Agents currently all come from web2AI, and web3AI still needs to keep up the good work!
