Telemundo kicked off production in Mexico of its new thriller drama Lobo, Morir Matando, starring Arap Bethke as Lobo. He leads an ensemble that includes Fátima Molina (Monteverde, ¿Quién mató a sara?), Angélica Celaya (La mujer de mi vida, Mariposa de Barrio), Alejandro de la Madrid (El juego de las llaves, El Señor de los Cielos) and Roberto Romano (Bandidos, El Señor de los Cielos).

The series also introduces child actress Camille Mina (Golpe de suerte) in the breakout role of Renata, the young girl at the heart of this story about redemption, betrayal, and survival.

The cast also features Marjorie de Sousa (Cómplices, El Conde: Amor y honor), Eduardo Yañez (Juego de mentiras, Golpe de suerte), Gabriel Porras (Al otro lado del muro, El Señor de los Cielos), Ofelia Medina (Tanto Amor, Secretos de familia) and Dominika Paleta (Más allá de ti, El hotel de los secretos).

A Chase for Life and Fortune

Based on the book Morir Matando (Dying by killing) by F.G. Haghenbeck, the series follows Lobo Rosales, a former detective haunted by his past. His life takes an unexpected turn when he becomes Renata’s protector, the daughter of a woman he once loved. When a vicious attack leaves her orphaned, Lobo flees to the border to keep her safe, aiming to reunite her with her only living relative. He soon discovers that Renata holds the key to a hidden fortune that others are willing to kill for.

Chasing them is Cruz, a corrupt politician played by Alejandro de la Madrid, who deploys his most dangerous asset, Antonia Lazo (Fátima Molina), a relentless hunter whose past is intimately tied to Lobo. Amid an intense pursuit, buried feelings between Lobo and Antonia resurface, forcing them to choose between betraying each other or saving Renata.

L to R: Fátima Molina, Arap Bethke, Camille Mina star as Antonia, Renata and Lobo.

Telemundo/Pamela Enriquez Mtz

“With Lobo, Morir Matando, we’re bringing together some of the most recognized names in Spanish-language television to deliver a bold, emotionally charged story that stands as one of Telemundo’s most anticipated productions of the year,” says Javier Pons, Chief Content Officer and Head of Telemundo Studios. “It’s a thrilling, gripping drama with unforgettable performances that will keep audiences at the edge of their seats every night.”

The cast also includes Christian Ramos, Gabriela Roel, Gina Moret, Jorge A. Jimenez, Majo Perez, Mariano Palacios, Rafael Novoa, and Tizoc Arroyo, among others.

From Novel to Series

F.G. Haghenbeck was an award-winning Mexican novelist and comic book writer known for works including his bestseller Trago Amargo (Bitter Drink) and supernatural thriller El Diablo me obligó (The Devil Made Me Do It), which became the popular Netflix horror series Diablero.

In the original novel, Lobo is a hitman commissioned to protect Renata after a massacre at her birthday party leaves her orphaned. The series adapts the character as a former detective, shifting the story’s foundation while keeping the core journey of a hardened protector and an innocent girl fleeing through a dangerous landscape.

Lobo, Morir Matando, a Telemundo Studios production announced during the 2025-2026 Upfronts, is written by Indira Páez and directed by Enrique Begné, Carlos Carrera, Rolando Ocampo, and Julia Rivero. Gabriela Valentán serves as executive producer, and Cynthia Martínez is the general producer.

Cryptos Signal Divergence Ahead of Fed Rate Decision

The post Cryptos Signal Divergence Ahead of Fed Rate Decision appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Crypto assets send conflicting signals ahead of the Federal Reserve’s September rate decision. On-chain data reveals a clear decrease in Bitcoin and Ethereum flowing into centralized exchanges, but a sharp increase in altcoin inflows. The findings come from a Tuesday report by CryptoQuant, an on-chain data platform. The firm’s data shows a stark divergence in coin volume, which has been observed in movements onto centralized exchanges over the past few weeks. Bitcoin and Ethereum Inflows Drop to Multi-Month Lows Sponsored Sponsored Bitcoin has seen a dramatic drop in exchange inflows, with the 7-day moving average plummeting to 25,000 BTC, its lowest level in over a year. The average deposit per transaction has fallen to 0.57 BTC as of September. This suggests that smaller retail investors, rather than large-scale whales, are responsible for the recent cash-outs. Ethereum is showing a similar trend, with its daily exchange inflows decreasing to a two-month low. CryptoQuant reported that the 7-day moving average for ETH deposits on exchanges is around 783,000 ETH, the lowest in two months. Other Altcoins See Renewed Selling Pressure In contrast, other altcoin deposit activity on exchanges has surged. The number of altcoin deposit transactions on centralized exchanges was quite steady in May and June of this year, maintaining a 7-day moving average of about 20,000 to 30,000. Recently, however, that figure has jumped to 55,000 transactions. Altcoins: Exchange Inflow Transaction Count. Source: CryptoQuant CryptoQuant projects that altcoins, given their increased inflow activity, could face relatively higher selling pressure compared to BTC and ETH. Meanwhile, the balance of stablecoins on exchanges—a key indicator of potential buying pressure—has increased significantly. The report notes that the exchange USDT balance, around $273 million in April, grew to $379 million by August 31, marking a new yearly high. CryptoQuant interprets this surge as a reflection of…

Bank of Canada cuts rate to 2.5% as tariffs and weak hiring hit economy
