The post 3 Meme Coins Under $1 Billion Market Cap That Will Dwarf Pepe Coin and Shiba Inu Returns appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. The resurgence of meme coins has reignited one of crypto’s most exciting narratives. Pepe (PEPE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) remains a dominant force in the space, but just as Dogecoin (DOGE) eventually faced rivals, new competitors are now lining up to capture the spotlight. For traders looking beyond their billion-dollar valuation, three meme tokens stand out as the most promising challengers under $1 billion market cap: Little Pepe (LILPEPE), BONK, and Pudgy Penguins (PENGU). Each offers the setup that could deliver 30x returns in this cycle. Little Pepe (LILPEPE): Meme Coin With Layer-2 Power Unlike typical meme tokens that exist purely for hype, Little Pepe has carved out a unique niche for itself as a Layer-2 chain designed explicitly for meme coins. Its mission is simple yet powerful, to offer the fastest, cheapest, and most bot-resistant environment for launching and trading meme tokens. The project is currently in stage 13 of its presale, priced at $0.0022, and it has already raised over $27.4 million while selling more than 16.6 billion tokens. Those numbers aren’t just impressive, they signal an enormous wave of community backing and investor confidence that’s rarely seen at this stage. In the current market cycle, scams have become rampant, and LILPEPE took the initiative to undergo a security audit by CertiK. The CertiK audit is one of the key indicators of LILPEPE’s staggering presale success. When combined with the $777,000 the team has given away to early supporters, it is easy to see why the community surrounding LILPEPE is growing faster than most established meme projects at this stage. BONK Continues to Lead Solana’s Meme Revolution BONK has been called the flagship meme coin of the meme coin trend in the Solana ecosystem. 3 Meme Coins Under $1 Billion Market Cap That Will Dwarf Pepe Coin and Shiba Inu Returns

Little Pepe (LILPEPE): Meme Coin With Layer-2 Power

Unlike typical meme tokens that exist purely for hype, Little Pepe has carved out a unique niche for itself as a Layer-2 chain designed explicitly for meme coins. BONK Continues to Lead Solana’s Meme Revolution

BONK has been called the flagship meme coin of the meme coin trend in the Solana ecosystem. It is currently trading at $0.0000143 with a market capitalization of $1.1 billion. The trend has resulted in the creation of numerous other Solana-native meme coins, and this trend appears to be continuing. Due to the possibility of another rally spiking the price of BONK by 1000% to $0.000143, with Solana seeing its highest level of adoption ever, some analysts view BONK as reflecting the interest in Solana. One of BONK’s greatest strengths is its community, and the holders’ long term commitment resembles that of early Dogecoin.

Pudgy Penguins (PENGU) Brings Cultural Branding Into the Meme Coin Market

Pudgy Penguins were one of the most famous NFT collections. Now it is a tokenized project with a strong brand identity, extensive community support, and partnerships worldwide that are expanding. Currently trading at around $0.031 with a $2.2 billion market capitalization, Pudgy World’s launch on zkSync, which blends toys and on-chain assets, drives mainstream appeal. As NFT interest surges, analysts expect the price to reach $0.30 by Q4, representing a 900% gain. PENGU’s merchandise and licensing deals expand its reach, offering more than BONK’s pure meme play. Its low price and cultural appeal make it a 2025 breakout candidate, with NFT utility fueling long-term value. With the potential for token integration across its ecosystem and plans for physical toys and media, PENGU will likely ride the next meme driven wave alongside LILPEPE and BONK.

Conclusion

Meme coins remain one of the most dynamic and unpredictable sectors in crypto. While Pepe (PEPE) and SHIB are still major players, the newer challengers carry the most explosive upside potential. Little Pepe (LILPEPE) leads the charge with its Layer 2 vision, booming presale, and viral campaigns. BONK delivers Solana powered growth and cultural staying power, while Pudgy Penguins (PENGU) leverages brand recognition and cross market appeal. For investors searching for the next 30x meme coin, these three rivals are proving that meme culture is far from finished, it’s only just getting started in 2025.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…
