SBI Ripple Asia has entered a partnership with Doppler Finance to explore XRP-based yield infrastructure and real-world asset tokenization. The agreement was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), signaling a major step forward for institutional finance on the XRP Ledger. Both organizations aim to enhance the adoption of compliant, transparent, and yield-generating products built on the XRPL.

Advancing XRP Yield Infrastructure

This partnership marks the first collaboration between SBI Ripple Asia and an XRPL-native protocol, showcasing a pivotal moment for the XRP ecosystem. SBI Digital Markets, a regulated digital asset entity, has been appointed as the institutional custodian for the initiative. This will ensure that assets are safeguarded in segregated, independent custody solutions, which mitigate exchange-related risks and increase institutional trust.

The collaboration also strengthens Doppler Finance’s presence in Japan, an important milestone in the company’s global expansion. Doppler sees this partnership as a validation of its status as a secure and trusted provider for XRP-based yield infrastructure. The partnership also reflects Japan’s increasing role as a center for digital finance.

Enhancing Compliance and Institutional Trust

Doppler Finance has gained traction with qualified institutions and major exchanges, establishing its reputation as a reliable partner for institutions. The company’s focus is on providing yield exposure while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational stability. The partnership with SBI Ripple Asia reinforces Doppler’s role as an institutional-grade yield provider within the broader XRP ecosystem.

Doppler’s Head of Institutions, Rox, expressed that the partnership is a major validation of the company’s infrastructure. She stated, “Partnering with SBI Ripple Asia is a major validation of the trust and reliability we’ve built into the Doppler infrastructure.” The collaboration will focus on advancing XRP’s role as a yield-bearing asset, with institutional standards forming the backbone of its efforts.

Looking to the Future of XRP’s Institutional Adoption

The alliance between SBI Ripple Asia and Doppler Finance sets a strong foundation for bridging traditional finance with the expanding on-chain economy. As both organizations work together, they aim to accelerate the development of secure and transparent yield infrastructure on the XRP Ledger. The partnership is poised to drive institutional adoption, further solidifying XRP’s role in the evolving landscape of digital finance.

SBI Ripple Asia’s spokesperson remarked, “We look forward to exploring new opportunities that bridge traditional finance and the evolving on-chain ecosystem.” The focus is on developing products that meet institutional-grade security and transparency standards while fostering the growth of the XRP ecosystem.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…
