Just as post-IPO companies are far less risky than startups, Bitcoin today is much more mature and stable than it was a decade ago, with a wider distribution of ownership. With institutional adoption and ETF trading, its volatility has decreased significantly, marking its evolution into a mainstream asset. Bitcoin's path from a $2.5 trillion market capitalization to that of gold at $25 trillion may be achieved faster than many expect.
