Dapp

Dapps are digital applications that run on a P2P network of computers rather than a single server, typically utilizing smart contracts to ensure transparency and uptime. In 2026, Dapps have achieved mass-market appeal through Account Abstraction, allowing for a "Web2-like" user experience with the security of Web3. This tag covers the entire ecosystem of decentralized software—from social media and productivity tools to governance platforms and identity management.

What Is Bitcoin Hyper? Bitcoin’s Fastest Layer-2 Nears $19M in Viral Presale

The post What Is Bitcoin Hyper? Bitcoin’s Fastest Layer-2 Nears $19M in Viral Presale appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Yet for all its dominance, the network still struggles with a basic problem: speed. Bitcoin processes around seven transactions per second (TPS), making it slow, expensive, and unsuitable for today’s demands like dApps, DeFi, or even meme coins. During peak periods, fees can spike above $100, pricing out everyday users who simply want to move their $BTC. The concept has clearly struck a nerve. Its presale has already pulled in close to $19M. If you want to understand why investors are piling in, now’s the time to pay attention. The Problem Bitcoin Still Hasn’t Solved Bitcoin ($BTC) remains surprisingly clunky in 2025. The network averages around nine TPS in real-time, while Solana ($SOL) clears more than 770 TPS – around 85x faster. At peak, Bitcoin might touch 13 TPS, but Solana’s max throughput has hit 4.7K TPS in recent blocks, with a theoretical ceiling above 65K TPS. That gap shows just how far behind Bitcoin lags in terms of raw scalability. Source: Chainspect And block times don’t help. With 10 minutes between confirmations, using Bitcoin for everyday payments feels outdated in a world where people expect instant settlement. Fees are another sticking point. In April 2024, during the launch of the Runes protocol, average Bitcoin fees spiked above $120 as a result of high congestion, making small payments not only impractical but downright absurd. Imagine trying to buy a $4 coffee and having to pay $120 just to settle it. The surge in ordinals and BRC-20 meme coin activity in 2023–2024 filled blockspace, driving fees higher and leaving regular $BTC transactions stuck in the queue. At the same time, ETFs have made Bitcoin easier to hold, but not easier to use. Bitcoin remains unmatched as a store of value. But as an execution layer, it’s still missing critical components. And…

Sui Foundation launches multi-year security expansion program

Sui Foundation launches multi-year security expansion program

The post Sui Foundation launches multi-year security expansion program appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Key Takeaways Sui Foundation unveils multi-year security expansion backed by earlier $10 million commitment. The initiative focuses on four key areas: shielding end-users, ecosystem-wide visibility, advanced protocol security, and secure development standards. The Sui Foundation today expanded its $10 million security commitment with a multi-year initiative to protect builders, applications, and users across its blockchain ecosystem. The initiative targets four core areas: shielding end-users, ecosystem-wide visibility, advanced protocol security, and secure development standards. The initiative will provide developers with security tools including transaction simulation and exploit monitoring systems. Applications on the network will benefit from malicious dApp detection services and impersonation takedowns. The security expansion comes as Sui’s ecosystem experiences rapid growth. The network’s deflationary token model has removed around 2 million SUI from circulation, while storage funds hold 1.95 million SUI tokens. The foundation reported that around 700,000 SUI tokens have been permanently removed from supply, with an additional 1.2 million locked long-term in the storage fund. The foundation aims to establish higher web3 security standards through real-time risk signals and comprehensive threat monitoring systems. World’s First Eco-Friendly DePIN Blockchain Powered by X1Nodes

World’s First Eco-Friendly DePIN Blockchain Powered by X1Nodes

The post World’s First Eco-Friendly DePIN Blockchain Powered by X1Nodes appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. X1 EcoChain, a next-generation Layer-1 blockchain platform, has announced the latest milestones in its mission to redefine decentralization for the Web4 era. Built on energy-efficient Proof-of-Authority (PoA) consensus and powered by ultra-low-energy nodes, X1 EcoChain aims to provide a fully decentralized, environmentally responsible infrastructure capable of supporting real-world applications at scale. Decentralization Enters The Physical World As the blockchain industry evolves beyond traditional mining farms and cloud-reliant infrastructure, X1 EcoChain is pioneering a new model known as Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN). Unlike legacy systems that depend on energy-intensive data centers, X1 EcoChain runs on compact devices, namely ‘X1Nodes’, that consume 3 Wh of power, less than a typical LED light bulb. With over 6,000 nodes deployed across more than 65 countries, X1 EcoChain aims to demonstrate that physical decentralization can be achieved without compromising on performance or sustainability. Mainnet Readiness & Technological Foundation Currently in the Maculatus phase of its testnet, X1 EcoChain is preparing for its transition to mainnet, where the ecosystem will be fully operational. Over 15 decentralized applications (dApps) are currently in development. These range from DeFi protocols and payment systems to decentralized storage, identity solutions, and next-generation mobile services. Moreover, the network architecture is designed for high throughput, low fees, and near-instant finality through a Proof-of-Authority (PoA) consensus model that emphasizes validator accountability and trust. Key features include: EVM Compatibility: Supports Ethereum smart contracts and tools, enabling fast and cost-effective deployment for developers. Validator Economy: Validators receive 90% of transaction fees and ecosystem flows, with built-in mechanisms for performance and compliance enforcement. Noise-Free, Fanless Nodes: Devices can be safely deployed in homes, offices, or public spaces without the need for industrial cooling or cloud services. User Engagement & Onboarding Initiatives In preparation for its mainnet launch, X1 EcoChain has rolled out several initiatives to build…
