Arthur Hayes Predicts Bullish Bitcoin Recovery, Expects Traders To Maintain $80K Support ⋆ ZyCrypto

The post Arthur Hayes Predicts Bullish Bitcoin Recovery, Expects Traders To Maintain $80K Support ⋆ ZyCrypto appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Advertisement &nbsp &nbsp BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes has backed a steady market recovery after weeks in the doldrums. Bitcoin (BTC) led crypto assets gains this week, with multiple whales shifting gears to buy the dip. The total market cap is up almost 3% above $3 trillion at the time of writing.  Bulls To Ride Liquidity Wave Bitcoin price recovery is underway after on-chain metrics flipped green, with analysts pointing to liquidity levels. In a recent X post, Hayes projected the anticipated recovery, highlighting a change in United States investor sentiments. According to Hayes, minor improvements in the dollar liquidity will spur improvement, coupled with other macro factors. The crypto market tumbled for three consecutive weeks, leading to outflows hitting billions.  Bitcoin price fell 35% from its all-time high, fueling a wider decline in other assets as institutions withheld funds. The price of the crypto leader brushed $80,500 during the lengthy spell in the red zone, a point Hayes described as the low bottom.  Interestingly, other analysts also predicted a similar scenario for Bitcoin in the past seven days. For bulls, the dip to $80k is a new support level for an upward surge. Should traders maintain the support level, a steady rise is expected, as seen in the past 48 hours. Advertisement &nbsp Bitcoin price exchanges hands at $89,021 with large traders picking up at ‘early’ positions in an attempt to bolster figures back to September highs. On the flipside, many argue that a BTC price slip below the $80K threshold could affect a new psychological blow, leading to slow recovery.  “minor improvements in $ liq: – fed qt stops dec 1, this wed will prob be last fall in b/s – us banks increased lending in nov we chop below $90k, maybe one more stab down into…

New UAE Law Sparks DeFi And Web3 Regulation Shift

New UAE Law Sparks DeFi And Web3 Regulation Shift

The post New UAE Law Sparks DeFi And Web3 Regulation Shift appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. A new financial law in the United Arab Emirates is set to bring decentralized finance (DeFi) and the broader Web3 industry under regulatory parameters, signaling an important shift for the industry. The UAE’s new central bank law, Federal Decree Law No. 6 of 2025, introduces “one of the most consequential regulatory shifts” for the crypto industry in the region, Irina Heaver, a local crypto lawyer and founder of NeosLegal, told Cointelegraph. “It brings protocols, DeFi platforms, middleware, and even infrastructure providers into scope if they enable activities such as payments, exchange, lending, custody, or investment services,” Heaver said. According to the lawyer, industry projects building or operating in the UAE should treat this as a pivotal regulatory milestone and align their systems before the September 2026 transition deadline. “We’re just code” is no longer a defense Issued in the Official Gazette and legally effective since Sept. 16, 2025, the UAE’s Federal Decree Law No. 6 is a central bank law that regulates financial institutions, insurance business as well as digital asset-related activities. Its key provisions, Article 61 and Article 62, provide a list of activities that require a license from the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE), including crypto payments and digital stored value. “Article 62 states that any person who carries on, offers, issues, or facilitates a licensed financial activity ‘through any means, medium, or technology’ falls under the regulatory perimeter of the CBUAE,” Heaver said. An excerpt from the UAE’s Federal Decree Law No. 6. Source: CBUAE In practice, this means DeFi projects can no longer avoid regulation by claiming they are “just code,” the lawyer said, adding that the argument of “decentralization” does not exempt a protocol from compliance. Protocols that support stablecoins, real-world assets (RWA), decentralized exchange (DEX) functions, bridges, or liquidity routing “may require a…

Kevin Hassett Top Contender for Fed Chair as Trump Pushes for Rate Cuts

Kevin Hassett Top Contender for Fed Chair as Trump Pushes for Rate Cuts

The post Kevin Hassett Top Contender for Fed Chair as Trump Pushes for Rate Cuts appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Crypto markets are parsing the political and policy backdrop as the Fed chair selection nears resolution. If Kevin Hassett is named, sources familiar with the matter say he would bring a closely aligned, rate‑cutting lens to the Federal Reserve, a stance many investors associate with looser liquidity conditions. The outcome could support risk assets, including Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, by broadening funding streams and dampening borrowing costs. However, observers stress that no decision is final until formally announced. Still, Hassett’s public signals—notably remarks advocating rate cuts—are cited as consistent with a policy path the market would welcome if data corroborates it. In this scenario, crypto traders expect tighter correlation with macro liquidity, potentially lifting volumes across exchanges and improving margin conditions for DeFi and lending protocols. “Bitcoin Can’t Win Alone”—Ripple CTO Explains Why XRP Is Built for Global Payment Dominance ⋆ ZyCrypto

“Bitcoin Can’t Win Alone”—Ripple CTO Explains Why XRP Is Built for Global Payment Dominance ⋆ ZyCrypto

The post “Bitcoin Can’t Win Alone”—Ripple CTO Explains Why XRP Is Built for Global Payment Dominance ⋆ ZyCrypto appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Advertisement &nbsp &nbsp The debate over which digital asset will anchor the future of global finance has persisted for more than a decade. Yet Ripple’s chief technology officer, David Schwartz, recently sat down with Eleanor Terrett, who highlighted on X what many industry analysts now call one of the most revealing XRP interviews of the year. In the discussion, Schwartz challenged the long-standing belief that Bitcoin can dominate global finance on its own. He argued that no single blockchain can shoulder the demands of the modern payment system. Instead, he said the industry’s success will depend on multiple networks working together rather than one chain claiming absolute dominance. Why Bitcoin Alone Cannot Carry the Global System Schwartz explained that early Bitcoin tribalism discouraged experimentation and slowed the industry’s progress. However, he noted that institutions today have moved beyond that mindset. According to him, XRP is not a competitor trying to replace Bitcoin; it is a network designed to perform tasks Bitcoin was never intended to handle. Advertisement &nbsp He stressed that XRP fills a gap that becomes more evident as financial markets move toward real-time, cross-border settlement. In the interview, Schwartz emphasized the engineering decisions that set XRP apart from competing chains. He mentioned that XRP was not forked from Bitcoin, does not use proof-of-work, and introduced major capabilities before these features were standardized across the industry. The issued assets and a native decentralized exchange, for example. Schwartz characterized the XRP Ledger as a suite of curated financial tools built as an efficient means to settle, move assets, and provide liquidity. Schwartz emphasized that XRP benefits from every new development within its ecosystem. He explained that XRP pays network fees, serves as the asset everyone can hold, and functions as the automatic bridge for routing trades. Most users, he…

Bitcoin Treasury Metaplanet Draws Fresh $130M Debt Amid 20% Unrealized Loss

Bitcoin Treasury Metaplanet Draws Fresh $130M Debt Amid 20% Unrealized Loss

The post Bitcoin Treasury Metaplanet Draws Fresh $130M Debt Amid 20% Unrealized Loss appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Key Insights: Metaplanet drew $130 million from its Bitcoin-backed credit facility to expand BTC holdings and support income-generation strategies. The company employs a dual funding approach, combining collateralized debt and preferred equity to scale its Bitcoin treasury. Despite sitting on an almost 20% unrealized loss, Metaplanet continues accumulating Bitcoin and maintaining its HODL strategy. Metaplanet Inc., the Tokyo-listed firm pioneering Bitcoin treasuries in Asia, executed a $130 million loan on November 25, 2025, against its BTC collateral, pushing total borrowings to $230 million under a $500 million facility. This move, disclosed in a PDF filing on the company’s investor site, underscores Metaplanet’s aggressive accumulation strategy even as Bitcoin trades at $87,580—19.5% below the firm’s average acquisition cost of $108,036, per BitcoinTreasuries.net data. Meanwhile, Metaplanet stock (3350.T) closed at $2.28, down 7.75% from $2.48 the prior day and 81.5% off the 52-week high of $12.35, according to Yahoo Finance. The debt draw signals confidence in BTC’s long-term value but exposes the firm to collateral risks in a volatile market, where recent dips to $82,000 tested treasury models worldwide. Metaplanet first tapped its credit facility on October 31, 2025, drawing $100 million to fund Bitcoin buys. The latest tranche, secured by the company’s 30,823 BTC holdings valued at $3.5 billion as of October 31, follows Bitcoin’s 30% drop from October peaks. “Given the substantial scale of Bitcoin holdings relative to the loan amount, the Company expects to maintain sufficient collateral headroom,” the filing states, emphasizing a conservative draw policy to buffer volatility. Meanwhile, interest accrues at a reference USD rate plus spread, with daily renewals and repayment at Metaplanet’s discretion. The lender remains undisclosed, a common practice in such arrangements.
